Clear Lake Islamic Center (CLIC) was incorporated in 2000 as a non-profit religious organization to promote the practice of Islam and serve the Muslim Community of the Houston area as well as help them to meet their religious obligations. Since its inception, it has sponsored several dawah programs including but not restricted to Texas Dawah Convention. The Masjid is currently located at 18026 Upper Bay Rd, Houston, Texas 77058. Insha Allah CLIC is in the process of completing the construction of its new Center at 17511 El Camino Real, Houston, TX 77058.

All praise is due to Allah. Clear Lake Masjid started in 1996 as a small “Musalla” in a strip mall across the road from NASA.
Sh. Waleed Basyouni joined the Masjid as its Imam; and since then the Masjid has embarked on many dawa and educational programs that transcended the larger Muslim community in the Houston area; under its 1st name Ta’leemul Islam.
