Ruth Nasrullah is the Administrator of the Clear Lake Islamic Center, responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the masjid. She most recently served as Communications Coordinator for the Houston chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations. Prior to that, she ran Light of Islam, a non-profit educational center and bookstore which she conceived, developed and managed with the mission of providing accurate information about Islam and Muslims. She spent 10 years in health care management before earning a masters degree in journalism from Emerson College, after which she worked as a freelance journalist, writing for the Houston Chronicle, MuslimMatters, Azizah, Islamic Horizons, Toastmaster, Religion News Service, and The Trek. She brings to the Administrator position a special emphasis on communications and media relations.
